Later rounds - looking for speed

Postby Baseballnovice » Wed Feb 24, 2010 1:12 pm

My team is fairly filled out looking to grab some speed. my pick will be 179 in out draft.

Cats are: Std5 + K's and OPS for hitting.

My team is:
Mauer, Joe
Wright, David
Kinsler, Ian
Youkilis, Kevin
Lind, Adam
Ethier, Andre
McLouth, Nate
Butler, Billy
Span, Denard
Beltran, Carlos
Ramirez, Alexei

Looking into getting Juan Pierre or Rajai Davis, who would you take?

I'm going to be in the minority here, but I still like Juan Pierre esp now that Damon signed with the Tigers. Pierre should play almost every day.

His age will catch up to his legs soon but I also like Pierre. At the top of that lineup he will not hurt your team at all.

Thanks guys I was leaning towards Pierre esp since the dude never strike outs. I can plug him in as a reserve for Runs, AVE and SB without killing me in K's.

I'd take Davis, little more pop and not gonna hurt you to much in any category. Another guys who will probably be available and give you a backup SS is Everth Cabrera, probably good for 40 steals.

I like Pierre ahead of Davis. Both will give almost nothing in HR's and RBI's. SB's will be similar. Runs should be similar, but I would give the slight edge to Pierre as he will be in a better lineup. Pierre should have a clear advantage in AVG. giving him the edge.
