I'm in year 2 of a 12-team, standard scoring keeper league, and I have the following conundrum...trade the here and now to take a chance on the future?
We keep 10 players, and my current keeper list looks something like this:
Miggy Cabrera Aaron Hill Alexei Ramirez BJ Upton Matt Holliday
CC Greinke Oswalt Tim Hudson and either Buehrle or Jorge De La Rosa
As the title of the thread states, I can deal one of my two aces for the #1 pick, and Strasburg is available to be drafted. Would you do it? And if so, which pitcher should I move....CC or Greinke?
I honestly wouldnt trade either of those guys is Strosburgh is the best available to be picked up....never gambel to much(a proven ace) for a future arm? look at that guys team...does he have 10 keepers...if he doesnt maybe you can give up Burhler or De La Rosa and someone else

You've been drinking too much Kool Aid. Don't buy in to Hype. Best case scenario you have a great pitcher on the worst team (and a team that will never get any better in Washington because no one who matters there cares if it gets better). Worst case scenario, he's nothing but hype and you just bought a Homer Bailey type, on the worst team in the league.
The only way you get to improve by trading CC or Greinke is IF Strasburg develops into a Lincecum type of pitcher, because CC and Greinke are about as good as they come so what's the point of making this trade? Keep the ace, instead of rolling the dice and hoping Strasburg turns into an ace.
