FIRST PICK in 12-team keeper league...but who? WHIR

OK, I am in a 12-team keeper league, Yahoo, 6x6 (we added Ks for hitters and HRs allowed for pitchers). One keeper per team, which costs a 1st round pick. I am keeping no one this year, as the best I had left over was Morneau. I drew pick #1 (snake draft), and have first shot at anyone not kept. Other teams are keeping:

Miggy
Reyes
Longoria
Fielder
Braun
HanRam
A-Rod
Howard
Pujols

Thus, who would YOU take #1 to build a team around? I'm thinking either Utley or Tex. Because it's a snake, I won't get to pick again until end of round 2. Thoughts?

Pujols, in any situation the answer is Pujols. If you take Teix or Utley you will be the laughing stock of your league.

No, the listed players are off the board, kept by other managers. Everyone else is available.

BTW, it is a H2H league, if its relevant.

Utley. When you have the opportunity to get the best at a position, you do it. That and 1B is much deeper this year than 2B.
