Max Start limit for SP's

Postby saemick » Wed Feb 24, 2010 1:59 am

In an effort to stop the frequent streaming of Starting Pitchers, our league voted to set a max start limit this year. Unfortunately, I cant seem to find that option in my Yahoo league settings.

Yahoo Sports Genie or anyone else have any ideas on where I can find this?

thanks in advance

ESPN has it in the Custom Leagues. They are free, you could switch.

This has come up in multiple threads. That is not how our leagues curtail streaming. We instead give an option for Max Weekly Adds. Trying to do Max Starts is subject to the same "fenceposting" problem as games played limits in roto leagues, it is just much more statistically significant over the span of a single week. Fenceposting problem: you're 1 start short of the limit going into the last day, and you start 5 guys.

Hope this helps

Definitely does. I completely forgot about the scenario you described. It makes more sense now that you mention it.

One guy in my league wanted Unlimited Moves each week. Take about Streaming. He finally quit.
