I don't think it would be a bad idea to have a backup plan to Jeter, Furcal or Everth Cabrera are good options. Jeter had two sub par steal years before last year's 30(11 and 15).Without his speed Jeter should still be solid, but you might need to inject some speed into your lineup at some point and I think Cabrera's a lock to at least do that. Furcal's a question mark on all fronts, and I am not as high on him to start swiping enough bags to be a great option at age 33. Of course, Everth should fall a bit...but there's a lot of factors involved in those other guys getting their steals.
