Trade Help WHIR

Postby MaudDib » Mon Feb 22, 2010 9:21 pm

I am in a 12 team points league where we keep 25 players. I just got offered

Victorino, McCutchen and Zobrist
for
Either, Crawford and M. Young

I would be getting McCutchen and others. Here is my roster

C - Mauer, Soto
1B - Morneau, Votto
2nd - Castilo
SS - Rollins, Theriot
3B - Reynolds, Young
OF - Beltran, Crawford, Either, Adam Jones, BJ Upton, Maggs, Fernando Martinez

SP - Carp, Webb, Dempster, Hamels, Bedard, Garland, Maine, Hochevar,

Am I giving up too much? I like that I shore up 2B and get a nice young OF in McCutchen but..

...and as always WHIR
RP - Valverde, Rodney

I take it, but it's really close, and I'm only 51% in favor of it.

Zobrist trumps Crawford for me, and that's not thick ice I'm on.

McCutcheon, even as only legs, is someone I take over Ethier myself, but I'm notoriously down on Ethier.

The others are a wash, but I like having the OF here and Victorino seems like he'll age well. Young is misnomer.

If you are cool with your post trade OF, then it's a yes. You will need a thumper in your OF if Upton craps out, but that's likely true either way.

There's no guarantee Zobrist can repeat, at least you know what you'll get from Young, and you are upgrading 2 OF's by a pretty large margin. No brainer for me. This guy clearly has a stiffy for Zobrist and you're ripping him off. It will be a lesson learned for him, I'd accept without hesitation.

EDIT: Wait the guy with the stiffy is YOU!!! lol

Don't do this trade man, it really isn't even close.
