It looks like a really solid team. You could probably use a little speed and another top of the line starter.
Of course, I'm assuming that your categories are HR, RBI, Bat Avg, Stolen bases, runs, Wins, Saves, Era, Whip, and Strikeouts. If they are like you posted (the above minus runs) I'd definately try and get a new front of the line starter. Or two. Because Pitching is more important in that league. Otherwise, I'm working under the assumption that you mistakenly left out a hitting category.[/b]
ya i left the run category out stupid me. I could use a bit more speed, but patterson has the potential for 30 steals, garciaparra always gets a few, guerrero should be able to get steals on the angels, and micheal young should be able to rack up some steals also. Another base stealer would be nice, maybe brian roberts from the orioles since hairston is hurt or possibly dave roberts from LA who had 40(!) Steals last year. Problem is that myoutfield is pretty full and my 2nd baseman seems solid.
Take this advice with a grain of salt, I just drafted my first roto team and it's a yahoo team as well so it's got the same categories and roster sizes it seems useful to look at your team.
You may have a slight problem, depending on how long Garciaparra is out. Achilles injury or something yes?
The OF is solid with Guerrero/Giles/Patterson, nice blend of speed and power imo, although I'm not convinced Vlad will steal many bases this year.
You could me beat. I only got Ensberg in the 15th round. Never woulda drafted Rolen in the 6th if I'd thought Ensberg would be around that long.
I think you're RP is good enough, but your SP is suspect like you said. I don't really like the guys on the WW you listed, but you can probably find someone decent during the year.
ya my SPs are a lil weak. i had the 10th pick in a 12 man and in the 2nd and third rounds pitchers just started going. By the time it got back to me, pitching was a little weak. Hudson and Mulder should be good, and if buehrle and zambrano pan out i should be fine. Zambrano in particular b/c he has great K potential. I think i'll wait till a young pitcher emerges then pick him up in free agency unless i can get a trade for another good starter.
on nomar, i read that his foot is now in a boot and he will be out for 2 weeks. They say he may be ready for opening day.
