My league commish wants to change the saves category to Net saves this year. I wanted to get thoughts from the cafe on a few different aspects of this.
Do you draft closers differently now or just stick to a traditional don't pay for saves strategy?
Also is this category overkill? We also have losses so as of now a crap closer could potentially give you a L, damage your ERA and WHIP, then by changing to NSV a blown save damages you there as well.
Is this a bad category given our settings?

I don't think so. At least the closer isn't rewarded with a W if the team comes back.
0-3 to 4-3. Worst choke in the history of baseball. Enough said.
