Trade for Butler, Anderson or Jimenez

Postby Chadgo5 » Mon Feb 22, 2010 9:04 am

Roto 6x6 (IP and OBP added) - 11 teams - $260 auction - C / 1B / 2B / SS / 3B / 4OF / 2UT / 5SP / 3RP - 6 keepers

Going into the auction really cheap this year (more because I had a weak team and have some bargains, rather than choice). I'm rebuilding. We keep 6. Here are my five so far:

C - Matt Wieters - $5
2B - Aaron Hill - $5
OF - Nelson Cruz - $5
OF - Nick Markakis - $13
RP - Jonathan Broxton - $5

I have three trades on the table to fill my last keeper spot... Billy Butler, Ubaldo Jimenez or Brett Anderson. All are $5 players. I would on;y give a farm team draft pick up in return.

WIth this deal, I would throw David Wright $39 and Johan Santana $27 back into the pool (both too high $$ IMO). But I'd have $222 left to get them back... and enough money to build a solid team.

Which of Butler, Anderson or Jimenez would you choose?

I'm a big Ubaldo fan and own him in both leagues I'm in, but I always prefer hitters over pitchers so I'd go with Butler first, then Ubaldo second. Anderson 3rd.

Anderson will be great, but probably not this season. Gotta go with Baldy, Butler then Anderson.

Butler
Anderson
Ubaldo

Offense first, and I am especially scared of Rockie pitchers going a few seasons.

Help with mine:
