Keeper draft help WHIR

Postby bois13 » Sun Feb 21, 2010 6:10 pm

I play in a 12 team roto 5x5 keeper league and hold the first and second overall picks in this years draft. The obvious pick for the first pick is Pujols but i'm stuck at who to take with the 2nd pick. I feel like the obvious pick would be to take Arod, but theres also Longoria, Wright, Crawford, Greinke, and Felix available as well. I already have a ton of power with Pujols, Fielder, Uggla and Ortiz and Hamilton hopefully but lack a bit in average and a ton in SB and pitching. Just looking for someone else's input on this. Leave a link and ill help you out as well.

What kind of pitching depth for you in 2nd round after Greinke and Felix are off the board?
If there's a big drop off and not a lot available, I might think about one of them with the 2nd pick...

But I'm guessing there will be decent depth for you... so for me definitely take the 2 best players in Pujols and Arod.
Grab an ace in round 2 and early round 3 (assuming snake draft) though cause you can use an ace or two with your current rotation.

Thanks for help on mine ;-D

the next 10 after Greinke and Felix are Carpenter, Lee, Gallardo, Wainwright, Jimenez, J. Johnson, Lester, Vazquez, Cain and Hanson. I have picks 1,2,16,28, 37 and 49 overall and feel i need to get at least 2 good pitchers out of those picks. There should be a pretty good pitcher there and really like Hanson at either 28 or 37. Do you think that's too high for him or should i take a chance and wait til 49?
