Return to Draft, Trade, Keeper and Waivers Questions

I'm playing in a standard 5x5 roto keeper league (13 teams) and I'm brand spanking new to fantasy baseball, so I'm hoping you guys can get me pointed in the right direction here. We keep 7, and I have my keepers picked, but I could use some expert advice on my relative strengths and weaknesses headed into draft day. I don't have the rest of the league keepers, so I can't provide an exact list of who's going to be available, but I'd settle for advice about what kind of guys to look for and what cats need steadying first off (although specific guys to target is fine too). Lets assume that the talent available will all be 7th-8th round and worse. Here's the keepers...
Chase Utley 2B
Roy Halladay SP
Jose Reyes SS
Kevin Youkilis 1B-3B
Josh Hamilton OF
Adam Jones OF
Corey Hamels SP
So, given that, what kind of players would you guys target in the first couple of rounds of the redraft? I was thinking that a little more power and a solid 1B would be a good place to start, and that I'd probably bow to the conventional wisdom and wait until round 10+ to start drafting RPs. I'll take any and all advice at this point though (since I still have no real idea what I'm doing

).

You have a really balanced keeper list and you have two of the weaker positions (2B and SS) covered really well. You can essentially go in looking for the best player available early on.....I even like having Youk for flexibility at both 1B and 3B. Someone was looking out for you to start with that group. Early on, it would really be hard to go wrong with the best player available...so OF, 1B, 3B, SP....any of those would be a good choice. Welcome to FBB, enjoy it....its very addicting.

Hopefully not too addicting.

I'm a hard core fantasy hoops guy, and i think my wife would kill me if I were running 8+ teams 12 months a year in mutiple sports. I'm going to try and keep FBB to maybe just a couple of teams to start with.
I was thinking that I could certainly go BPA, and that's always the background of my draft strategy in any fantasy sport. I don't have a great handle on round by round values for baseball players yet though, and just having a couple of rankings and some Median draft position info only gets you so far in a draft. That's where you seam heads come in...
