if i were to keep him late i think that would be great value for a young pitcher. then i could potentially take sandoval in the 2nd.
I like Kershaw alot and especially at that value but lean towards Sandoval because Kershaw's too young in my mind to depend on at the end of the season when you may need him most.... don't get me wrong, he's a great pitcher with huge upside, but he'll probably be limited innings wise for a few more years imo. If your only keeping 4, I'd rather take the offense in Sandoval at quite a late round bargain. 3B also isn't extremely deep this year so lack of depth factors in also.
I was burned last year by my young pitchers like Bills, Gallardo, and Scherzer and their end of the year falloff and teams handling them with kid gloves and limited innings.
Weiters is a great option too, but I just lean slightly towards Sandoval.
good point on the IP with Kershaw. I too, had Bills and Gallardo. and needless to say, the end of the year wasn;t anything like my first half pitching with Greinke, Gallardo, Billingsley and Kershaw.
thanks!
