I would do the trade and select A-Rod. Given that you can't keep these guys infinitely, I'd go with A-Rod over Longoria. Yes dealing Teixeira and Cruz is a bit of a steep price, but given that Teixeira is up after this season, I think you have to take the premier player through 2012 and bite the bullet on the slight stat loss this year.
