5x5, Auction, $260, 7 keepers per year.
CA, 1B, 2B, 3B, SS, OF, OF, OF, UT, 8 pitchers, 10 bench.

I have Andrus at the league minimum. I can keep him for 1 year at the same price ($1), or I can lock him up for 2 years at $4 (2010) and $7 (2011). Which should I do?

What size league?

Depending on that I think I would pass and keep him only one year. I am not in love with him and I think there is a good chance that he won't be worth it. I might be in the minority here but I think he will be one of those better players than fantasy guys.

12 team league that has been going for 15 years. Pretty competitive.

Second thought I think I would keep him. If he doesn't do anything this year you can always let him go back in the draft. $4 is good value for a backup SS who should give you good SB numbers.

I'm debating keeping him in my league. For that price I'd keep him. Could see him getting 40 SBs and that would give you a nice bargain.

I'm a fan of the kid but in your format, you probably shoudn't extend him. A Stars and Scrubs approach will get you solid players for $4 or less in the endgame.
