i play in a 9x9 keeper roto league. i have ryan zimmerman (3b) for $12 + $3 keeper premium. i was offered adam wainwright (p) at $11 + $3 keeper premium. what does everyone think?

Well, what does the rest of your team look like? I think I like the trade if you need pitching or have a solid replacement for Zimmerman. But if you have a couple of solid pitchers already and since there is no real money difference, I would keep Zimms.

i wouldnt say i have a replacement for zimm but i do have chone figgins at a cheaper price. my staff is nicely assembled with josh johnson $4 + keeper premium and cliff lee at $4 + premium. when talking to the guy who has wainwright he seemed like he was desperately trying to get rid of jeter at $9 + premium which would be a huge upgrade from jhonny peralta who i currently have at ss. so i may counter with an offer that includes jeter. ss and 3b both being very thin fantasy positions getting jeter at that price will save me $ on draft day overpaying for him or other mediocre ss.

Zimmerman is a better keeper than Wainwirght.

my thought would be to acquire wainwright and trade lee or johnson at those incredible dollar values and get a few guys to build around. i finished 8th and 9th respectively the past two seasons.

so the consensus is zimmerman. would the trade be more interesting if i could get felix hernandez for $17 + $3 keeper premium for zimmerman? he has both wainwright and hernandez and he did mention that felix was not untouchable.

Wainwright and Zimm are about the same to me.
