Help with Keepers....WHIR

Postby wvuscott13 » Tue Feb 16, 2010 10:18 pm

I can keep 15 players + 4 minors players, however, if they don't start the season in the minors I have to cut them or keep them.

Scoring for batting is: Avg., R/AB, Total Total Bases (TB + SB), Teammates Batted In (RBI minus the RBI for driving in himself on HR's)
Scoring for pitching is: ERA, K/9 Innings, Saves, Wins

I'm keeping:
Lance Berkman
Robinson Cano
Troy Tulowitzki
Josey Reyes
Evan Longoria
Justin Upton
BJ Upton
Ian Stewart
Zack Greinke
Adam Wainwright
CC Sabathia
Francisco Rodriguez

So that leaves three open spots for:
Carlos Gonzalez
Travis Snider
Chris Carpenter
Madison Bumbgarner
Brian Matusz

Any help or ideas will be much appreciated and I'll help in return.

Thanks.

Carlos Gonzalez
Travis Snider
Chris Carpenter

I don't see the other pitchers as must-keep, especially Bumgarner whose strikeouts and velocity decreased last year.

First off this is the strangest league I've ever see. TBI's???

I'd take Madison Bumgarner over Matusz mostly for the additional run support he'll receive, but I do think he's probably the better pitcher of the two. Snider's a big risk but could develop into an Adam Dunn type, big power with an unimpressive BA, and you gotta keep Carpenter.

Thanks for the help everyone.

Tenacious D: Yeah, the TBI's was hard to get used to, I'd never seen a league use that before.

HOOTIE: The reason I have Stewart on there is because the hitting stats are the only ones my team falls behind in year to year.

i would go with CarGo, Bumgarner and Carpenter. Carpenter is a much keep and I think CarGo will have a solid season and Bumgarner could easily make an impact.
