New Team Same Keepers

Postby perlick29 » Tue Feb 16, 2010 4:06 pm

I can keep 5 in a 14 team league 5 X 5 roto. 2 of the following are locks but then I need to round out my 5.

1. Miguel Cabrera
2. Zack Greinke

3. Adam Dunn
4. Aaron Hill
5. Ichiro

6. Heath Bell
7. Carlos Marmol
8. B.J Upton

Should it be the five I have listed or should one of the bottom three slide in there? Thanks. Oh and WHIR.

Forget the man crush. I drop what I'm doing to watch Zack Greinke pitch.

Not knowing other details about your league, I might swap Bell for Dunn..... but I think otherwise you have it right.

I am a Jays fan, and I take a lot of pride in being able to say "In your face" to all of those who mocked me when I said Hill had power but just hadn't shown it yet two seasons ago. However, The Jays F***ing stink dude. I know I can't talk like that here but if any of you can think of a more suitable adjective than be my guest. The Jays have loads of money, yet are cutting their salary to the point where the roster payroll now looks like the dollar menu at McDonalds. I also question the teams leadership with a brand new GM and a manager they are still adjusting too. The Jays are a team without much talent or direction and it seems inevitable that the Jays will finish dead last in the AL East. As a result morale will be down making players less productive, and even if that part isn't accurate Hill still won't see the same RBI production. I think Hill is going way to early in drafts. If your league allows pre-season trading I would start shopping him around while the ambers are still hot. Other wise take Dunn for a solid 40 HR's or Bell for a solid closer without much competition.

I was just thinking about what your cafe name was...and once I saw it and saw your signature it all came back to me. I'd definitely add Hill to the list, and Ichiro. Out of Dunn, Bell, Marmol, and Upton, I'd keep Upton for his upside or Dunn for his power since you can balance out his AVG with Miggy and Ichiro.

Good luck this year!
