keeper question in mixed 6x6

Postby higgsboson » Tue Feb 16, 2010 11:28 am

5 keepers based on the draft position. 6x6 head to head added stats are holds and slg. These are my choices:

Crawford round 3
Howie Kendrick round 7
Werth round 8
Josh Johnson round 11
Alcides Escobar round 18
Matt LaPorta round 21
Colby Rasmus round 22
Chris Coghlan round 23
Leo Nunez Round 24

open to you suggestions. I like LaPorta and Johnson, Nunez is a pretty cheap closer. Will Crawford be drafted higher than 3rd?

Agree with this here. Kendrick is the better player but he is not a 7th rounder. I would choose to keep Rasmus over Coghlan though.

I would keep the following:

Crawford round 3
Werth round 8
Matt LaPorta round 21
Colby Rasmus round 22
Chris Coghlan round 23

Even though your league counts SLG, Crawford at 3rd should at least break even. Werth at 8 is a steal IMO. The other three guys could become potential superstars, and at those prices are good investments.

Thanks for the help with my thread!

Josh Johnson is also worth some consideration too. At round 11, he would be a mega steal, but his huge increase in IP along with his injury history is too much of a red flag for me.

So it seems Crawford, Werth, and Coghlan are the only ones every one agrees on. I like Johnson in the 11th. I think this could be a breakout year for him. I'm still not sure about #5. I've gotten Alcides Escobar, LaPorta, and Rasmus all as suggestion. I'm leaning toward Escobar especially because of his position. I'm not sold on Rasmus yet. LaPorta I might regret not keeping, but he has yet to prove himself in the bigs(although Coghlan has only shown half a season, but I do think he is for real). Thanks for the suggestion keep them coming and I'll keep putting out my advice to everyone.

Brad Evans of yahoo thinks that Escobar is the 11th best SS
