12 team H2H 5x5 start 1 each position plus DH 5 SP 2 RP - Salary Cap $255 - 23 man roster (we keep 4 plus any minor leaguers activated)
We're near the turnaround (slow draft), I have the next pick and the 8th pick from now. I figured I'd ask some advice. Being salary cap, there are some good choices out there.
I keep thinking 2 things:
1. take 2 pitchers here and get a jump on solidifying my rotation or
2. going after 2 OFs (power and speed) and getting my OF in order
My roster so far
c
1B Tex ($33)
2B Zobrist ($10)
SS Tulo ($22)
3B
OF
OF
OF (either T. Snider ($5) and/or Colby Rasmus ($7)- both just brought up)
DH Votto ($16)
SP J. Santana ($25)
SP T. Hanson ($13)
SP U. Jimenez ($16)
SP
SP
RP
RP
There are no decent 3B left. All the (few) top catchers are gone. I'm waiting on RP.
Players I'm looking at here: Adam Dunn is available at $20. Also, Ichiro ($26) and Bourn ($15) are both available. I thought I should grab Dunn here and hope one of the 2 speedsters are available to me next time. I've looked at the next pickers' rosters; so I figure at least 1 of Ichiro or Bourn may remain at my next pick. I'm not planning on starting either Travis Snider or Colby Rasmus (unless I have to because of $$ problems) I figured I could find my 3rd OF later in the draft, there should be a couple decent options left towards the end of the draft b/c of the salary cap. Other OF left - Abreu ($28) - N. Cruz ($26) - Manny R. ($30) - Ibanez ($26) - T. Hunter ($25) - J. Hamilton ($23) - Vlad ($17 -qualifies OF) - Carlos Lee ($23) -
Or some SP still left: J. Vazquez (a steep $26) - Nolasco ($16) - Lackey ($16) - Garza ($17) - S. Baker ($15) - Danks ($14)- Kazmir ($11)- Hamels ($21) - Jurrjens ($16) - Scherzer ($15) - Dempster ($12)
Thoughts or advice? Thanks.

I'd go with Dunn. Ichiro isn't a bad option either. Dunn/Ichiro is a nice combination. Ichiro will even out Dunn's BA struggles, and between the 2 you could end up with 50 homeruns and 30 stolen bases.
You have a solid rotation as it is. Build your OF, and honestly I'd consider Beltre later on as your starting 3rd baseman. Playing in Fenway he's got a chance at hitting 30 homeruns, and a player in a contract year can never be undervalued!

Rasmus is overpriced at 7$. I agree Ichiro/Dunn will shore up your offense. Pitchers there are over priced (expect maybe Dempster).
