Tough Keeper? WHIR

Postby colt4523 » Mon Feb 15, 2010 7:56 pm

12 H2H points league where we keep 7 and have 20 years to spend on our keepers. Pretty standard point system except for hitters 2 pts for sbs and no negatives. Pitchers get extra points for CG, SO, QS and 2 pts per inning.

Here are my definite keepers and their contracts:
Howard 4/4
MCab 4/4

Lincecum 2/3
CC 2/2
Greike 2/2

So I have basically 6 years to spread out between 2 of the following:

Hamilton
Wieters
Hill
Rollins
Beckham
Carlos Lee
Ellsbury
Nelson Cruz

Hamels
Josh Johnson
Brett Anderson

I really do not care about how I should divide up the years but who should be my additional 2 keepers. Any help would be appreciated.

Given the number of years you have left, I see it as:

Ellsbury
Weiters

Ellsbury is nothing but legs. Hamilton had some injury issues than fell off the wagon a bit, but he is back and he's healthy and sober. The guy is an undeniable beast.

:-? I was not leaning towards either Hamilton or Wieters.

I think Ellsbury will score more points than Hamilton and frankly I do not think Hamilton is durable enough. I was also considering rollins because SS is not very deep.

I probably should have stated that I do not have to use all 20 years. I could sign Ellsbury to 1 or 2 years and use my extra years the following season.
