Now where?

Postby jtrain19 » Mon Feb 15, 2010 6:33 pm

First year keeper league. 12 teams C, 1b, 2b, 3b, ss, of, of, of, u, u /// sp, sp, sp, rp, rp, rp, p, p, p
cats --- r, hr, rbi, sb, tb, avg /// W, SV, K, HLD, ERA, WHIP

Interesting setup - we each chose an MLB team and kept 10players to give us a base. I chose the Dodgers.

As it stands ---
C - Montero (Traded Manny and Martin)
1B - Votto
2B - Kendrick
SS - Furcal
3B - Youkilis
OF - Kemp
OF - Soriano (Traded Manny and Martin)
OF - Ethier
U - D. Lee
U - G. Jones
BN - Loney
BN - C. Davis

SP - Greinke
SP - Kershaw
SP - Billingsley
RP - Broxton
RP Sherrill
RP - Aceves
P - Jiminez
P - E. Jackson (Traded Manny and Martin)
P - Jurrjens
BN - J. Sanchez
BN - Hudson

What do you think? I have 4 picks left. What need should I be looking to fill?

Lastly, what do you think about moving Jones for Elvis Andrus???

Your lineup looks pretty solid I think. With 4 picks left I would look for potential holds/saves guys with good ratios or a couple sleeper SPs. I'd rather take sleeper pitching than add more bench hitters.

Same as above.

Part 2, Given your Furcal situation I'd gamble on the Andrus trade.

keep an eye on Jurrjens, he may be injured, not clear yet how serious this is but be prepared for the worse. It'll be a couple weeks probably before more in know about how severe the injury is. So you may need to keep in mind a replacement for him. I had him down as a target SP before this news.
