And have two catchers, when I only start one? Not sure I'm understanding. If I'm paying $20 for McCann as well, why not instead keep Johan Santana at $27 and at least go into the auction with one solid SP (although an injury risk)?
I was leaning towards
2B- Aaron Hill - $5
OF - Nelson Cruz - $5
OF - Nick Markakis - $13
RP - Jonathan Broxton - $5
C - Matt Wieters - $5
SP - Johan Santana - $27
Total = $60 (leaving me with $200 going into the auction... which should be plenty)
SP go much earlier in our league than most. Many of the 1st and 2nd tier guys will be kept. Leaving me with slim pickings if I don't keep one. Meanwhile, no one keeps closer in our league and they go for cheap. Top closer price last year was $23... and a big drop off after that.

Roto 6x6 (AVG-OBP-HR-RBI-R-SB --- IP-ERA-WHIP-W-K-S) / 11 teams / $260 cap / auction
Lineups - C - 1B - 2B - SS - 3B - 2UT - 4OF - 5S P- 3RP
I need to keep 6 - This is what I have (not showing the whole team):
C - McCann = $20
C - Wieters = $5
2B - Hill = $5
3B - Wright = $39
OF - Cruz = $5
OF - Markakis = $13
SP - Santana = $27
SP - Bucholtz = $5
SP - Bailey = $5
SP - Oswalt = $19
RP - Broxton = $5
I have been offered Cliff Lee at $5 straight up for my $5 Aaron Hill.
I'd like to go into the auction with two SP if possible.

Because to me, Santana isn't quite an elite pitcher next year. That's just the way I see it.
