PayPal Help again

Postby auburn24711 » Mon Feb 15, 2010 12:05 pm

Hello again, I wanted to know specifically how to setup an account with paypal that can allow myself and others to put money into and have a pool for the money to be held. Paypal is not very sepecific from what I saw on this matter. Will I have the option of choosing payouts or will I just have to manually select the payouts after the season is over. There has to be some easy method to provide security to players who want to make sure there money is not going into the wrong hands. Thanks for ya'lls time, I have been doing Commish for a few years but have always collected the money myself until payouts are due, just wanted to use this instead. thanks for the times and input

Paypal is the devil. They converted my account to a merchant account with out my permission because I received 3 payments on things I sold on ebay in one month. :-t

Go into paypal.com and I am sure that there will be a link in clear view to set up an account. The members of the league will go to Send Money (be sure and hit the tab for "Personal", they do not charge a fee then), type in your email (if you are holding the money) and the funds go into your Paypal account. You can then hold the prize money in Paypal until Baseball is over and then send the money from Paypal using the winning owners email account. Everyone gets their money with no muss or fuss. If you need more help, give me your email account. Thanks,

It sounds like what you want is not Paypal, but LeagueSafe.

If you use Paypal, everyone will send their money to your bank account. And then you'll be responsible for holding it and sending it out. If you use LeagueSafe, it will supposedly do it for you. The only caveat I have is that I've never used LeagueSafe so don't know how "safe" it is. But I have seen it mentioned a few places so think it should be fine.
0-3 to 4-3. Worst choke in the history of baseball. Enough said.
