You trying to sell me on that trade here?
Well, that's just my crazy, paranoid opinion. Just because I said it, doesn't mean it is.
...plus, when you have your first three league drafts of the season with a second to last pick, you just want a change in scenery.
I think I'm pretty much of the same opinion as you are. That is why I said I needed 1 of 2 guys that have a chance of being there to still be there. If they aren't I can't justify making the trade. I'm really trying to talk myself into it.
I tried to tally the posters so far, but people were naming so many spots that it became silly to tally the individual draft positions. So I added a poll to help determine a favorite draft region consensus. Complete the poll and continue to post the draft position where & why you have the most successful & comfortable drafting experience.
So far in the small sample the tally looks like this: 1-2: 6 votes 3-5: 6 votes 6-7: 7 votes 8-10: 5 votes 11-12: 5 votes

im very curious to know which "11" are first rounders?
My guess is the first 11 are: Albert Pujols Hanley Ramirez Alex Rodriguez Chase Utley Ryan Braun Matt Kemp Prince Fielder Mark Teixeira Ryan Howard Miguel Cabrera Evan Longoria

Yes, those are the 11 guys. Then you have a pitcher (ick), a third baseman who hit 10 home runs, a second baseman who misses 25 games a year, and a shortstop/outfielder who tanked in the first half. and a catcher (again, ick).
Those 11 are clearly better and worthy of building a team around.

Never looked at it that bleakly before, but I guess you're right.

Exactly, that's why at 12 I got two guys I actually wanted (Holliday and Tulo). So I guess I took the SS/OF who tanked in the first half. Anyway, I'd rather have them than the other guys going at the turn. Kinsler peaked my interest, but him moving down to 5th in the order might give him a few more RBI...but I think he's going to lose some SB's...and that's not counting his healthy issues. His .245 BABIP and consistently elite contact rate peaked my interest, but when you look closer...a lower BABIP was to be expected with all the fly balls he hit despite maintaining his normal 11% HR/FB rate. He didn't get unlucky so much as swung for the fences too much...something I don't see changing now that he's moved down in the order.
I would have preferred one of those top 11 and picking up Holliday or Tulo on the way back.
