Favorite Draft Position 2010 (Now With Poll)

OK all you mockers, just interested to see what draft position people at the cafe are liking this year. I am finding the most success in the 6-8 region of a standard 12 team draft. I also prefer 9-12 than 1-5, though I'm sure many will say 1-5 should produce a better team. Please list your preference.

Either #1 (so I can get Pujols) or somewhere close to the middle. I think drafting either towards the top or the bottom is harder because there can be a lot of time between some of your picks. Sometimes you have to really plan ahead and maybe even reach for guys so that they don't go while you're waiting. It's impossible to predict what's going to happen when that many picks take place in between yours. It forces more planning and adaptability IMO.

Anywhere but 12 and later is fine with me. There's 11 guys I want as first rounders, that's it.

I like 7ish in a 10 team, 3-4ish in a 12 team.

Yes. The 2nd round is uncertain as it is, I'd want nowhere near #12 and it gets worse in deeper leagues.

I like #3 actually. My best mocks have been done from that spot.

I like the middle rounds in a 12 team league...Happy with M-cab, Tex, Prince, Howard...after that it gets a little dicey IMO

I agree. I have 11 guys targeted as 1st rounders...too bad I had the 12th in the ECL Cafe league and nobody slipped through. I'm not too concerned though since I was able to snatch up a couple guys I like this year. I'm curious to see who will fall to me at the turn in the 3rd/4th.

So yes...anywhere in the first 11 picks would be fine with me. I think a pick between 8-11 would get me someone I really like in round 2...but picking 1st might allow me to catch some quality talent at the turn in the 2nd/3rd. 12th is somewhere I don't want to be, though I don't mind picking back to back so after the first round I don't mind picking there.
