Howard, Wright, Kinsler, V-Mart Keeper Trade Advice

Postby thebleachercreatures » Sun Feb 14, 2010 4:33 pm

5x5 roto mixed keeper league (12 teams). we can keep up to 5.

current roster (going with first 5, if keepers had to be selected today):

R. Howard
J. Rollins
V. Martinez
G. Sizemore
I. Suzuki
C. Figgins
A. Soriano

I was offered David Wright, Ian Kinsler and Adam Lind for Victor Martinez & Ryan Howard. Should I pull the trigger? It would leave me with
1. Wright
2. Kinsler
3. Rollins
4. Sizemore
5. Ichiro
Lind/Figgins/Soriano to trade up if possible

I would not do the deal. Martinez is going to give you excellent production out of the C position, and if you do the deal, you will most likely end up not keeping Lind, so then it turns into Howard+Martinez for Wright+Kinsler, which I would not do, I don't think Wright's power is coming back.

help?

Yes. Then keep Lind over Ichiro.

Either Lind or Figgins over Suzuki.

I definitely do this deal. Howard and Wright are on par with each other, and obviously Kinsler >> V-Mart, plus you're getting Lind. And I agree with having so many 5 tool players, I would throw Ichiro back and keep Lind for the power upside.

Do it. And keep the three you are receiving.

i disagree with most on this one, i say no deal. youre already stacked with power, speed and batting average guys. why tinker with it, plus u have a huge advantage over anyone else at catcher with v-mart.(excpet whoever has mauer of course). i dont think lind was a fluke in 09, but hes not as proven.
