Each keeper costs the round the player was drafted in. I plan to keep a-rod for my 2nd and beckham for my 21st. Unsure who to keep w the final spot. I have Rollins for a 1st rounder and granderson for a 5th rounder. I like J-Rol because of the position scarcity. But if I keep him and A-Rod with my 1st and 2nd by the time I actually draft a player it will be at the end of the 3rd round, and likely be looking at guys ranked in the 50's overall.
Granderson. Rollins is very nice but he's more of a 2nd rounder this year. So I'd rather see what's there in the first round and if Rollins is still the best player then you can pick him up again.
I too would probably avoid Rollins. In any case, if you don't keep him do you htink you could draft him back if there insn't anyone else in round 1 you like better?
I'd probably keep Granderson in the 5th but I wouldn't be super excited about it as he's been inconsistent. Still, 5th round is good for him.
I have a similar questions about my leagues supplemental draft and my keepers. Could you help? (4th post down) viewtopic.php?t=400614
I have the 9th overall pick, and by my count 4 guys will be drafting before me, the other 4 will be keeping last years 1st rounder. The cream of the crop so to speak will likely be Utley, Rollins, Reyes, Sizemore, Bay, Votto. I like Votto a lot, but also am a bit nervous of how shallow SS is I wouldn't mind drafting Rollins or Voto with that pick, but if they're gone I don't want Reyes or Bay or Wright. If Wright's not kept that means I will be the 5th pick not the 4th.
I agree about how shallow shortstop is after the top guys. Rollins isn't worth a first but unless you really want to take a risk I would grab him in this spot.
