Quick Trade Help *Guarantee to WHIR*

Postby Konfusious » Sun Feb 14, 2010 11:51 am

Hey All,

I'm continuing to put the pieces of my team and pulled a big trade, a couple days ago getting David Wright, Jose Reyes, Adam Wainwright and Ian Kinsler. Thanks for your previous help.

I am in a 10 roto league, with keepers, Categories are: R, HR, RBI, SB, AVG, OBP, W, K, SV, ERA, WHIP. We also get to keep 10 players with two more costing us a pick. We are also a real-life salary league, so players who make 30 million/year cost 30 million/year, our cap is $115 million.

Well I got offerred Jason Bay and Chris Carter (Oakland prospect) for 1st round pick (ends up being 107th overall pick) and Jarrod Parker (Diamondbacks prospect). The icing on the cake is that he would hold on to the player for me, so it won't cost me a keeper selection. I'm debating because Bay will cost me 6 million and then would leave me 17 million to get 11 players.

Do you think this is a good trade for me or no?

Here are my keepers:
V-Mart
Miguel Cabrera
Ian Kinsler
David Wright
Jose Reyes
Nelson Cruz
Jayson Werth
Roy Halladay
Adam Wainwright
Brandon Webb
Ricky Nolasco
Brett Anderson
C= V. Martinez
1B = J. Morneau
2B =
3B= A. Ramirez
SS= J. Reyes
OF = Bay, Markakis and Kemp
SP: Halladay, Webb, Cain, Garza, Weaver, B. Anderson
RP: Broxton

I havent had much experience with the league that u have so much to spend....but if that wasnt the case i would say yes....i like your team now and would if it were me to spend that money on players that wont cost that much and have a breakout season...i first round pick even though its the 107th is still a big deal for you....i wouldnt do it....if u decide to its not an end all either...bay should have a great year with its surrounding cast....but keep in mind the mets either do well as a unit or go flat...

can you help me with mine
i really apprecaite it
thank you

It doesn't look like you'd have a ton of holes to fill if you made this trade. I like Bay, especially since it's for the 107th pick. You'd be able to find plenty of SP's who are cheap to fill out your staff and the rests of your bench.
