Keeper Question

Postby drmoyer421 » Sat Feb 13, 2010 8:03 pm

I am in a 16 team H2H league that has been running for almost a decade...

I have won a couple of times, but have lost some great players like Hanley Ramirez, whom I didnt keep after drafting him his rookie season.

I have some great young talent, but I am not sure if I should keep them over proven players already..

I need help keeping 5 from this list..
Justin Morneau
Joey Votto
Carl Crawford
Ian Kinsler
Troy Tulowitzki
Gordon Beckham
Adam Jones
Zack Grienke
Tommy Hanson

I would keep
Votto
Crawford
Kinsler
Tulowitzki
Hanson

In a keeper league I would hate to throw back Hanson.

Joey Votto
Carl Crawford
Ian Kinsler
Troy Tulowitzki
Zack Greinke

Tough to cut Morneau, but Votto gives you similar power numbers while you're getting a top ace to build your staff around in a deep league.

Thanks..
I think I am def. taking Ian Kinsler and Troy Tulowitzki.
I was thinking of probably taking Joey Votto since he is younger and has room to grow over Morneau.
My issue is do I take both pitchers over Crawford?

And should I drop Beckham? Does anyone believe he may be a stud this year and future years?

I personally like Morneau over Votto. Sure, Votto is young and has the potential, but it's not like Morneau is aging. He has consistently performed and still has a few more years of solid production.

I like Votto more then Morneau, but feel free to freeze Morneau instead.
