I have the 1st pick in a 12 team Yahoo points keeper league. All along I've been thinking A-Rod, but recently Soriano 's stock has been rising due to his potential and the new ballpark. Beltran also has been moving up the charts. Who should I take 1st and why?

umm, You take A-rod #1 becasue he is quite simply the best player in baseball. 60 homeruns and 160 rbi are possible with him, not so with any othe rplayer. Puljos is good, but with a-rod being able to play ss and 3rd, he is easy choice

A-Rod...SS is too scarce to take Pujols. Sure, Pujols is better than the rest, but you can get decent OFs later on in the draft. The talent gap at SS is much more substantial.

You should definitely take Jennie Finch. She's amazing! Oh, you mean in fantasy baseball, not women's pro softball.

Definitely select ARod due to his stats, consistency and SS/3B eligibility. Next year if he's only 3B eligible I don't think we'll see him go #1 as often. An argument can be made for both Pujols and Soriano but not a real strong one. ;-)

Even if Arod is only available at 3b next year, that should make the pick even easier!He should no doubt be the first pick until he proves us any kind of wrong. Soriano can not even be considered with the first pick overall! He could bat .250!!!!!!!!!!

A-ROD is in pinstripes and you think there is a question about #1?

While still young, Soriano (definitely a 1st round pick) doesn't have the offense around him he did in NY. We don't know if he will run as much in Texas as he has, but we do know he isn't the hitter that A-ROD is.

I disagree. If Arod is only eligible at 3B next year he is not my #1 pick although he'd still be a first rounder. And a lot can change in a season. Just my 2 cents. B-)
