Is Chase Utley the right pick at #4?

Postby midwestpatsfan » Sat Feb 13, 2010 1:14 pm

Hi all,
I am playing in a 10 team, 10x10 category league and have the 4th overall pick. Is Chase Utley the right pick for me at #4 or who else would be a better option? I am assuming that Pujols, Ramirez, and Rodriguez go before my pick. Who are some other guys I should be targeting in the next few rounds if Utley is my guy?
Here are the categories
R's, 2B, 3B, HR, RBI, SB, BB, K's, AVG., Errors
Thanks in advance and will help in return if needed.

I like Utley there because he'll be a solid across-the-board contributor in every one of your categories there, except maybe triples.

Ron Shandler's got him projected at: 114-30-100-19-.280, and I think that average is projected a little low, I'd expect to see him somewhere between .290-.300. He's an elite player in what is almost unarguably the best line-up in baseball, so yeah he'd be the choice there.

I personally would go Braun if he was there. I actually thing Pedroia is more valuable with these settings than Utley.

I'd go Braun as well

For most formats I would go with Utley @ 4 after Pujols, Hanley, Arod. Then followed by Braun @ 5 and probably Kemp @ 6

I think Utley is the right choice at #4.

It's either Utley or Braun, that's for sure. I'm in the camp leaning towards Utley because 2B is scarcer than OF.

OF is shallower than people think.
0-3 to 4-3. Worst choke in the history of baseball. Enough said.
