HI all,
I'm in a 10 team 5X5 mixed league and I am picking 8th and 13th on the wrap around. I have been toying with a variety of outcomes which may occur in the draft and have come to one of 5 conclusions:
1) Grab Longoria 8th and an Elite 1B with the 13th pick (which ever is left - Howard likely)
2) Grab Longoria 8th and Kinsler with pick 13 - get a 1B later
3) Grab Lincecum 8th and then either elite 1B or Longoria if still there with pick 13
4) Grab TWO elite 1B with these picks and work out other spots later
5) If Kemp still available, grab him 8th and then elite 1B or Longoria or Kinsler with 13
I feel like all of these except number 5 are sure to be available to me (unless someone grabs Longo early)...I have been thinking Longo 8th and then 1B this whole time until recently liking the Longo/Kinsler idea...
Which strikes you as most effective use of my picks (or NONE of these and something else)?
Here's to a great year!!

I like the second choice better, Longoria and then Kinsler.
Seems like you can still get a decent 1st baseman if you waited
pass the second round.
Help please

Thanks...I'm concerned about Kinsler that high but it is tempting since that is only chance at him.
Is anyone ANTI- Longo at 8 or 13? Bear in mond this is a keeper legue and Zimmerman, Reynolds and Sandoval are all being kept

I am leaning more towards option 1.
90% of my posts are from complaining about my team

Longoria/Kinsler. People are underrating close to 30/30 at 2B. Berkman and Votto/Butler can be had later on.

I would look to draft Kemp, Tex, Prince, or Miggy before Longoria as well. Although if you are totally sold on Longoria on the 8th pick you can always get a 1st baseman later in the draft as it is a very deep position.

I'm going Longoria and Kinsler. More Difficult positions to fill.
