Help with Keepers

Postby tigersfan319 » Fri Feb 12, 2010 1:50 pm

Wondering which 5 I should take into next season. Its a 12 team h2h league. Stats are:
AB R H 1B 2B 3B HR RBI BB KO SB CS BA OBP SLG
INN GS OBA CG W L S BS K BBI HA ERA WHIP

Y Molina
J Loney
D Uggla
I Stewart
B Zobrist
L Scott
M Ramirez
R Ludwick
A Gordon
M Bourn
D Span

C Hamels
J Washburn
M Pelfrey
R Porcello
R Halladay
B Bannister
J Jurrjens
J Niemann
M Buehrle
N Blackburn
E Volquez
B Lidge
J Nathan
J Papelbon
M Rivera

Was thinking of moving forward with Uggla, Stewart, Zorbist, Manny, and Halladay. I might think about swapping Manny for Span to go young but just looking for some input. I'm also going to try and make some trades but it seems like half the teams are stacked in this league and the other half have nothing so its hard to deal.

holding all of those closers, I think you have to deal them. seeing as your offensive keepers lack any real substance, these top closers should net you something better than uggla and stewart. if not, i would almost expect you to be able to get the uggla's of the world back than any of those closers.
your best bet is to deal, and deal now. otherwise, go with halladay and then go young.

Nobody keeps closers in this league so they hold little to no trade value. I'm going to see if somebody wants one but if they dont then oh well.

That scoring system would seem to favor Span and Bourn more than traditional.
