Not Your Typical League Looking For One Mgr - League Full

Postby RedSoxNation04 » Thu Feb 11, 2010 5:28 pm

Okay, here's the deal:

I'm looking for one owner for a 12-team, 11x11, H2H keeper league. I've attached the league constitution below for your perusal. If interested, please PM me so that we can talk further. I'm only interested in managers who are serious about their fantasy baseball, who will keep up with their line-ups and who will enjoy some fun on what is, traditionally, a pretty active message board.

A few things you should know before indicating any interest:

Most of the guys in this league live in the New England/New York area and therefore encompass a number of Yankees, Mets and Red Sox homers. Draft accordingly.

Turnover in the league has been fairly light since its inception several years ago. Six of the eleven managers are the original gang. Three others have been on board for the last three years.

The league is fairly competitive and we've had a different league champion each of the last four years.

There is a league fee of $50 and payouts are included in the constitution. Now that Yahoo! has done away with Plus leagues, we are currently trying to decide what we are going to do with the $125 that used to be the league registration fee. I cannot and will not try to convince you that I'm a trustworthy guy, but I will tell you that I have a 20-month old son, I work at a university in advising and career services and I'm a former boy scout. Those three things alone have got to make me at least sound trustworthy ;-D .

Here's the constitution and, again, PM me if interested: http://docs.google.com/Doc?docid=0AT4Nl ... cWg0&hl=en

Thanks! ;-D

EDIT: Here is the current roster for the team we need to fill showing all eligible keepers and their original draft round (FA = Free Agent). Once you read the Constitution, you will understand why. Also, this team has chosen the #5 draft slot for this year.

C Bengie Molina (18)
1B Todd Helton (FA)
2B Luis Castillo (FA)
3B Michael Young (9)
SS Elvis Andrus (FA)
LF Adam Lind (22)
CF Jacoby Ellsbury (6)
RF Mark DeRosa (10)
UT Garrett Jones (FA)
UT Nate McLouth (FA)

BN Freddy Sanchez (FA)

SP Scott Kazmir (7)
SP John Danks (14)
SP Randy Wells (FA)
SP Joel Pineiro (FA)
RP Francisco Cordero (14)
RP Jason Frasor (FA)
RP Jeremy Affeldt (FA)

* This team also had Tim Lincecum, Josh Beckett, Dan Haren, Kevin Youkilis and David Ortiz but they are not keeper-eligible.
