Can anyone enlighten me as to what the current Pirates C and 1B plans are? Some sites seems to be indicating that Clement is the starting 1B. Since he will probably also have C eligability in some leagues, he might be a great darkhorse C if he actually will be playing full-time (shades of Craig Wilson 2005 and Brandon Inge last year).
I assumme that Doumit is the starting C under all scenarios?

I guess but I can't see him being much of a threat

Pearce is pretty far down the depth chart. At 1b, he's behind Clement and G. Jones. In the OF he's behind Jones, Milledge, Church and (probably) Raynor, their Rule 5 pick. It's incredibly unlikely that Pearce will make any sort of impact this year.

Clement's someone I'll target in a 2 catcher league or even 14+ team one catcher league. There's no reason not to draft him once your other options are Ramon Hernandez, John Baker, or Carlos Ruiz. Much more power upside (20 HR) than those guys. Pearce isn't even going to make the team, and Jones looks to be in RF.
