I don't see this happening before opening day, MAYBE before the All star break if the Reds want to axe his salary. But even then I don't see it. All that's been said is that Angelos would be willing to take on Griffey's salary if he becomes availsble. The problem is, the Orioles main trade bait is Ponson (yuck) and Julio (who they don't really want to move).

I see the Orioles going after Bernitz from the Mets. The Mets could releive some payroll right about now. I am interested if they are going to land Beltran..I have heard rumors about that.

Is Angelos willing to take on his salary now, even after YET ANOTHER injury?

They need to get a player, who actually plays.

I don't see this deal happening, Angelos wants to get a marquee player who will actually bring fans to the park, not a guy who will collect the $79 million remaining on his contract from the bench/training room. Plus I'd rather keep Gibbons/Julio/Lopez/etc, I think we have a decent core, we should be more focused on rebuilding the farm system, and then signing a couple of big free agents (Vlad, maybe Tejada, etc).
