Should he stay or should he go?

Postby May-Day Malone » Mon Feb 01, 2010 10:06 pm

12 team rotisserie Y! keeper league. 7 players are being kept for this years roster. My final roster from last year includes:

Mike Cameron (OF)
Jack Cust (OF)
J.D. Drew (OF)
Jermaine Dye (OF)
Rafael Furcal (SS)*
Raul Ibanez (OF)*
Adam Kennedy (2nd, 3rd, OF)
Paul Konerko (1st)
Mike Lowell (3rd)
Jose Lopez (1st, 2nd)
Kendry Morales (1st, OF)*
A.J. Pierzynski (C)
Placido Polanco (2nd)
Ryan Theriot (SS)

Andrew Bailey (RP)*
Chris Carpenter (SP)*
Jorge De La Rosa (SP)
Scott Feldman (SP)
Brian Fuentes (RP)*
J.A. Happ (SP)
Tim Hudson (SP)
John Lackey (SP)*
Randy Wolf (SP)

(* are possible keeper players)

Because of the limited number of reliable catchers I am undecided on whether or not to keep Pierzynski. Should I risk drafting another catcher or stick with one who is known to put up quality numbers?

Not a great roster to be choosing from. And there is no way you should even think about keeping a catcher like Pierzynski - he is basically waiver wire fodder; you'll be able to find better in the draft

Sorry missed Ibanez's; yes then def Ibanez over Theriot. But I'll take Hudson in Atlanta over Lackey in Boston. Lackey is going to get crushed this year, pitching in the the A.L. East
