Santana for Mauer

Is it worth it for me to trade Johan for Mauer in my 14 team keeper league. I dont really have anyone at C that I will be keeping, and the SP I would be keeping before this trade are Johan, Javier Vasquez, Joba Chamberlain, Chad Billingsely, Carlos Zambrano and Ryan Dempster. WHIR

i do not advise a taking a catcher early, hence i will NOT OWN MAUER this year....

BUT... in your case, if you can deal Johan for Mauer you do that in a second without hesitation... Mauer is a top 20 prospect, Johan is fresh off surgery and only getting older....

Plus hitting before pitching ALWAYS.

I don't look at Mauer as your typical catcher. He's special. I would take Mauer over Santana .
