Nyjer Morgan ($1) or Tim Hudson ($3)?

Postby BALCO All-Stars » Mon Feb 01, 2010 1:13 pm

NL only, 10 teams, $260 auction cap. 2 C/1B/2B/3B/SS/MI/CI/5 OF/9 P.

Who is the better value?

Morgan at $1 or Hudson at $3 in a 10 team NL Only league?

Morgan could give 30+ SB but not a ton else, and Hudson just returned late last season from TJ surgery.

In terms of OF and P that I am already planning on keeping: Braun at $20, McCutchen at $10, (might freeze Garrett Jones at $10), Carpenter at $11, Kershaw at $15, Qualls at $10, and Nunez at $10.

Thoughts?

Even tho coming off an injury I'd go with Hudson. What he could potentially do this year is well worth the $3

I would go with Hudson for that price. He has a chance to be a top end starter.

Please help.

I'd go with Morgan. A .300 BA, 100 R and 30+ SB hitter vs. a pretty average SP.

I go with Hudson.

I feel like the .300 avg. from Morgan last year was a best case scenario. You already have a head start on SB's with McCutchen...and Braun isn't too shabby there either. Morgan will give you a guaranteed 2 categories, no shot at HR's and RBI's, and pray the avg stays up.

I don't see why you think the BA is going to drop. Morgan hit .293 in the minors.

I agree. Even if he hits .280 those runs and steals are nice.
