Braun and Longoria trade

Postby borryman » Sun Jan 31, 2010 10:06 pm

$300, 12 team auction league H2H with standard 5x5 scoring categories. Just about to do our second year draft and I have been offered his Longoria for my Braun. Both players were bought in 2009 for $35 and have been signed to 5 year contracts, meaning they are both locked in at $35 until 2013. I am currently being offered choices of Longoria and Andrus, Longoria and Kubel or Longoria and Derek Holland. I need help at 3B and I'm worried because it's looking fairly shallow for this year. But am I getting enough for the number 1 OF?

My team as it stands before this years draft:

Hanley Ramirez
Ryan Braun
Mark Teixeira
Brian McCann
Chris Young (OF)
Chad Billingsley
Josh Johnson
Corey Hart
Travis Snider
Javier Vazquez
Rickie Weeks
Brad Hawpe
Francisco Cordero
Howie Kendrick
Jarrod Saltalamacchia
Paul Konerko
Jorge Cantu
Ryan Franklin
Carlos Gomez
Mat Latos
Michael Saunders
Phil Hughes
Ross Detwiler
Jeff Niemann
Kila Ka'aihue
Dexter Fowler

His team as it stands before this years draft:

Evan Longoria
Nick Markakis
Alexei Ramirez
Chris Davis
Roy Oswalt
James Shields
Joakim Soria
John Danks
Justin Smoak
Brett Wallace
Neftali Feliz
Derek Holland
Carlos Santana
Clay Buchholz
Billy Butler
Freddie Freeman
Tim Beckham
Gordon Beckham
Ricky Romero
Andrew Bailey
Daniel Schlereth
Chris Carter (OAK)
Brett Lawrie
Elvis Andrus
Miguel Montero
Aaron Hill
Jason Kubel
Michael Main

What should I be asking for Braun? or should I just hold onto him?

Is this a keeper league where you keep a handful of these players or is it a dynsasty league where you keep them all?

I think Braun is worth more than Longoria and a filler, keeper format or dynasty format

Dynasty format. But contracts are given out and both Braun and Longoria are contracted to 2013

Too close to call, 3B is shallow thats for sure, with the 2 yr age difference i might just take Longoria, work him over for a bit more if you can. Maybe toss in Cory Hart and ask for Billy Butler. He shouldnt do it but maybe he will bite.
