Ethan Martin vs Brett Cecil

Postby Bigball » Mon Jan 25, 2010 9:22 pm

Who is more valuable?

Looking for opinions on who will be the better MLB SP - I have never seen Martin pitch only hit and field.

Cecil sample size is to small.

Anyone with an opinion?

Thanks

In almost all situations i would take martin. Cecil looks like a guy that if things go well he will become a .500 pitcher with a 4.00 ERA. Whereas martin is the risk/reward type that potentially becomes a #1 or #2 but also has a good chance of busting.

IMO

Cecil short term

Martin long term

since it is a dynasty league I am siding with Martin.

Cecil will probably have minimal fantasy value as long as he's pitching in the AL East.
