Chapman or Aclkley

Who would you take now and in the future?

Ackley is a much more of a safe bet, though I wonder about his upside potential (mainly power). To me he looks a very similiar to what Erstad was coming out of college, hopefully with out all the injuries. Chapman has the edge on full potential but is hardly a sure thing of achieving it, as he needs to develop his secondary pitches and control more.

Basically my opinion would be only take Chapman if your really set at hitting and need pitching a lot.

I'd take Ackley. This isn't only a question of hitter vs pitcher but higher ceiling vs higher floor. I think Ackley's floor is high enough that you go with the safer pick. He does have some high potential still if he can stay at 2B and the power comes.

Take Ackley....from the research I've done, all signs point to him getting a SERIOUS look at 2b. This may or may not happen but if it does you've got one heck of a fantasy player.
