ESPN Keeper Opening

Postby Shakes » Tue Jan 19, 2010 5:16 pm

I have an opening for a keeper league. its 10 teams with rules as follows. Player contracts (see below) are new to this season so your not stuck with previous managers contracts.

10 Team, Standard 5x5 Roto League

Current Roster Size: 23
Total Starters: 17
Total On Bench: 6 (2 DL)

Catcher (C) 1
First Base (1B) 1
Second Base (2B) 1
Third Base (3B) 1
Shortstop (SS) 1
Outfield (OF) 4
Utility (UTIL) 1
Pitcher (P) 3
Starting Pitcher (SP) 2
Relief Pitcher (RP) 2
Bench (BE) 6
Disabled List (DL) 2
Limit Pitchers to 1260 innings pitched

5 Keepers done via:
Player Contracts: Think of keepers as contracts. A keeper can be kept for between 1 and 5 years. This must be decided at the time the keeper is declared. After the contract is up, the player becomes a free agent and enters the draft.
For example, if i decide to keep Ryan Howard for 5 years and he breaks both his legs in year 3, i still have him on my roster in year 4 and 5. Likewise if i decided i would only keep Howard for 2 years after the 2 year period is up i cannot claim him as my keeper again. Howard would enter the draft.
Re-Trading, contracts are with a manager only. If i have Howard for 5 years and trade him in the 4th year, the new manager can enter a new contract with Howard. The new manager is not forced to honor the previous manager's contract.

Its a live Draft on ESPNs software. Its 10 dollars buy in. Second place gets their money back, first place takes 90.

The Abandoned Team is as follows:
BATTERS
Ryan Doumit
Prince Fielder
Felipe Lopez
Kevin Youkilis
Rafael Furcal
Curtis Granderson
Torii Hunter
Denard Span
Chipper Jones
Jason Bay
Josh Willingham

PITCHERS
David Aardsma
Leo Nunez
Neftali Feliz
Felix Hernandez
CC Sabathia
Kerry Wood
Trevor Hoffman
Roy Oswalt
Matt Garza
Jarrod Washburn
J.A. Happ

Email me at keith dot christopher at gmail dot com with interest. I want someone dedicated with some experience. I've gotten someone off these boards before and they stopped paying attention within 3 weeks.
