I've seen some scattered interest in NFBC-type leagues and would be willing to create and commish a league for those who may not feel ready to throw themselves into NFBC-type competition but want a bigger challenge than stepping all over your buddies and co-workers every year.
Here's what I'm thinking:
12 teams, mixed league rosters (both AL and NL)
5x5 rotisserie scoring (traditional categories)
$100 entry fee (paid into leaguesafe prior to draft) - $800 to 1st, $300 to 2nd, $100 to 3rd
League hosted at Yahoo (to maximize payout)
Slow snake draft held on Couchmanager (would begin as soon as all managers have paid)
25 man rosters (C, 1B, 2B, SS, 3B, MI, CI, OF, OF, OF, OF, U, U, SP, SP, RP, RP, P, P, P, and 5 bench)
Daily transactions
No trading (this is the NFBC-ish part - puts the onus on draft/free agency and helps eliminate worries of collusion)
165 games played, 1700 innings pitched limits
Not a keeper league but would like to make it a perpetual league with same owners
Shoot me a pm if you're interested with some info about yourself, and if I can drum up enough legitimate owners I will draft a constitution for everyone to review and approve and we could get started. My goal would be to kick off the draft within the next 2 weeks, pending constitution approval and submission of payment. Look forward to hearing from you!
