His line since May 13th and on is 39/156 with 10 doubles, 8 BB to 43 K. That is a .250/.286/.314 line with an absolutely pathetic .600 OPS. Why are you using runs to judge him? He is a leadoff hitter? Of course he will get his Runs. But from May on he has been one of the
worst lead off hitters in the game.
Lol, Gonna mightly struggle to accumulate 5 HR this year.
So what we have...a leadoff hitter that:
1.) One of the highest K% in the game
2.) Can not walk
3.) Can not hit for power
4.) Poor ability to get OB, even at passable clip
I mean, whatever floats your boat. Pitchers have made their adjustments, and now the ball is in his court.

Make what you want of Phil Coke. He didn't spend 6 seasons in the minors for no reason. Happy he has pitched extremely well these past three months, but you will learn of Long Ball Phil.
I am not evaluating that trade as of now because that trade will take a few years to put everything in perspective (Granderson LHP, Ajax maturing, Kennedy, etc), but Max Scherzer is a god amongst men. I love him, so so much.
