Experienced Owner Looking for Keeper League

Postby NY Knights » Thu Jan 14, 2010 8:40 am

Hello to All - This will be my 24th season in roto (since before the internet!) and I'm looking to join another keeper league. I've been in one for 7 seasons, but my other keeper collapsed after this past season when the commish (of all people) bowed out.

I'm very reliable, won't quit on you, an active trader, both during the season and the offseason, and always trying to win. I'm pretty flexible on format, and always willing to try some new things, but if I had my choice, my preferences would be

roto, not H2H (I like daily moves, I'd do H2H if it wasn't weekly)
online snake draft (not an auction or slow draft)
6x6 or more (QS or holds, OBP or OPS are good)
mixed league
deep rosters, especially with some minor leaguers
at least 12 owners, but more is fine
yahoo preferred
free or modest cost
a START-UP keeper would be great!

Send me a PM, I'm ready to draft any time. Thanks. NY Knights

I am starting a dynasty league this spring if you are interested. I too have been playing fantasy baseball for a while (since 1988). I am in a couple leagues, but want to start a dynasty league that mirrors what it might be like to be a MLB GM. Drop me an email if you are interested: jason.otoole@cmef.org. Thanks.

It seems like every year I look around unsuccesfully for a deep mixed roto keeper beyond 5x5 that is free or cheap. If we can find a few others interested I would be willing to do a lot of the commish work but would probably want at least one helper, especially if the league got larger. I would really like to try R, HR, SB, RBI, OBP, SLG as the offensive categories.

I'd love to be part of a league with similar criteria... EXCEPT I dislike Yahoo and would want to invest the $15 or so in the CBS platform. 5X5 or 6X6 (with OBP and SLG) would be a nice twist. Plus, I have had problems with free leagues and inattentive owners so I would like some stakes involved ($50 or so total).

It would be nice to have moderately active and established Cafe folks as part of the league.
When it comes to exaggerating, I always give 110%.
