Hi everyone,
I am looking for one more owner in the Smack Shack Dynasty league.
1) The SSD is a 20 team dynasty league that plays a head-to-head (H2H) schedule with the top eight teams making the playoffs.
The categories we use are - Batting: Runs / HRs / RBIs / Stolen Bases / Base On Balls / Batting Average. Pitching: Wins / Saves / Strikeouts / Holds / ERA / WHIP.
You have a 25 man roster for the following positions: C, 1B, 2B, 3B, SS, OF, OF, OF, UT, SP, SP, SP, RP, RP, P, P, P plus your bench.
We also have a 12 deep Minor League (MiLB) farm team.
League is hosted on Yahoo. We also have a league forum where we keep track of records and where the drafting takes place. The drafts on our forum are a lot of fun.
The entry fee is $69 dollars. This will be collected before you draft your team in mid January. We have a great treasurer that makes sure to pay the winners immediately. Entry fees are collected via pay pal.
Because we had some teams leave this off-season, we felt it wouldn't be a good idea to just have new owners take over an old team. Some teams were pretty good, some teams had a lot of youth and upside and some teams flat-out sucked. What we've come up with is to have the new owners have a draft from a pool of all the players on the teams that left. We hope to have this draft in mid January. We think this draft will let you give your team an identity and also create a sense of ownership that might have been missing if you had just taken over a team.
Let me know if you'd like to see a list of available players for the new owner draft.
There will be a MiLB draft from the abandoned teams (in reverse order of the MLB draft) following the regular draft where you can stock up your minor league players (up to 12), but we'll be having a league wide MiLB draft after that so you might not want to fill up all 12 positions on your farm team.
Please let me know if you have any questions. Feel free to e-mail
wormisglowin@yahoo.com or send a PM.
