NL trade offer, What should I do?

Postby goose56 » Wed Jan 06, 2010 11:59 am

NL only, 11 team keeper league, $260 salary 4x4, 9 keepers max.

Offered Andrew McCutcheon $6 and Rickey Weeks $14 for Utley $28 (free agent after 2010 season) and $20 Tulo. Should I make the trade? It gives me $20 dollars of cap space to replace the homers and rbis, more sb's and potentially two long term keepers?

Other keepers:
Braun $16
H Ram $28
Hanson $8
Kershaw $5
Nolasco $11
Hamels $15
Soto $9 or Capps $12

I wouldn't do that. Utley and Tulo are really good prices. Along with the rest of your team it looks like you have all the pieces to win it this year.

I agree wholeheartedly! McCutchen and Weeks for Utley and Tulo? Give me a break. Stop playing for next year people and try and win this year!

With your other set of keepers I would not do this deal. You would have a ridiculous set of keepers to start with, and should be in contention for the title this year.

Also, if you have the choice between Capps and Soto I would lean towards Soto.

Having that kind up the middle (and not having to worry about drafting those slots) is awesome. Your talking about breaking up the top three picks for ss, 2nd, and mi? If you really liked Cutch then I'd consider trading Tulo for cutch.
He really did low-ball you since Weeks really isn't worth much more than $14.
