New York because of everything they stand for, which I'll readily admit is probably more envy than anything else. I am after all, a Lakers fan. Boston primarily because of their fan's.
But you dont mind Philly and Chicago?
and if you are a Laker fan why would you be envious of NY

It's more of a love to hate relationship. They have tons of money and semi-competent GM's so they are favored to win every year. And then whenever an elite player goes on the market they are considered the favorites to land that player (see Adrian Gonzalez speculation). It's not a personal thing I just root for them to lose.

I'd say less than 10. The Cardinals don't run much and I doubt they want their 7 year, $120 million investment stealing bases.
If it does end up being less than 10, I don't know if it'll be for the reason you listed. Pujols has been the team leader in SBs twice in the last five seasons - and tied for second or third in two more of those seasons. This leads me to my point, which is that the Cardinals haven't had anyone since 2004 who has actually been adept at stealing bases. Back in '03, Renteria attempted 41 steals, and in '04 Renteria, Womack, and Reggie Sanders each attempted 25+ and the team as a whole was towards the top of the league in attempts.
I'd predict him to keep close to what he did last year - around 20-22 attempts, and around 15 SBs.

That's fine lol I was just wondering. I just don't get it when people say ESPN favors Boston sports. It couldn't be anymore untrue. That's what pisses me off a lot because they so obviously favor NY its unbelievable.

People say that because ESPN devotes more of its time to Boston than smaller media markets. But if you think about it, that strategy makes sense, because boston is a larger market (thus has more interest) and was the most successful sport city in the past decade (so there is more to cover).

Have their owners indicated that they will put forth all of the organization's resources to sign these key players (Pujols seems like an obvious signing but he and Matt will carve up a significant portion of their payroll).
I think they have to. Waino will get paid no doubt, and Carp is already in a big contract. Pujols' deal will be mammoth.
They will have to up payroll if they want to field a team around these guys.
