I agree with Hootie ... 1. B Wagner: May be 38, but still lights out. 2. Valverde (massively underrated. Not sure why he doesn't get ranked higher, just check out his numbers over the last few years. 3-year-average: 63 IP, 72 K, 2.84 ERA, 1.14 WHIP. Last year, 2.33 and 1.13). 3. M Gonzalez 4. R Soriano 5. Rodney 6. Gregg
1. B Wagner Proven lights out closer if he's healthy. 2. Valverde always seems that I'm making fun of the owner with him at draft day, but come midseason I'm wishing he was on my squad after my closers don't pan out or go down with an injury 3. R Soriano, but I've been a fan of his hype forever it seems 4. M Gonzalez 5. Rodney 6. Gregg
Gregg and Rodney stand a good shot not to close. Gonzalez and Soriano have injury risk attached (Gonzalez threw a ton of innings last year in relation to anything he's ever done, and well Soriano is hurt every year). Valverde doesn't have a home, but no one is going to fork up draft pick compenastion for him to be a setup man IMO. Wagner is very good, and he is pitching in the NL East, which is a far easier task then pitching in the AL-East.
